Dad is trying to do the right thing caring for his 14-year-old daughter alone. But his struggle to overcome his criminal past isn't working out. Where can he turn?
In 2019 David Berberian recruited me to direct this tough little film he had written.
He had also recruited S'alfrico Watson-Grant as DP for the film.
But the most amazing touch was the 14-year-old actress playing his daughter in the film: Marleigh Purgar McDonald. She was already a veteran of Triangle stages and did amazing work in this film. The cast was rounded out with Geraud Staton, whom I met on this production and who became the lead of my film Last Words: Mary.
Though it was shot in 2019, after a basic edit, the film languished. Work that people had promised failed to materialize. Finally, though I had not been involved in the technical production, I arranged with David to finish the film.
You can watch the film here (after I sort out the links!)
